I’m JT Stoll. I’ve been writing stories my whole life and have been doing so full time since 2013. I have self published a number of works in this time and have learned a lot of publishing lessons.

A few years ago, I finished a first book, and I knew that I wanted to publish it, but I wasn’t sure what to do with the manuscript in my hands.

Today, publishing is easier than it has ever been. With services like Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), you can self publish an eBook in a few days. Self publishing is a huge business, and many independent authors have made millions of dollars in this new marketplace.

However, if you’ve never published a book, it can be a challenge to log onto KDP and do it yourself.

I’m here to help you to reach these new readers.

eBook formatting

If your book is complete, I can format it for you for publication on KDP. And if this is your first time publishing on KDP, I can also help to walk you through the publication process.

And if you want to publish to iBooks, Barnes and Noble, and other sales channels, I can also make that happen.

Cost

$70 – Format an eBook for publication on KDP*

$70 – Format an eBook for publication on Smashwords, iBooks, Barnes and Noble, plus 15 other sales channels.*

$35/hour – My hourly rate for consulting. This includes learning the KDP publication process.

*Extra cost may apply if your book has complicated formatting like links, notes, pictures, or is in a strange file format.

Print book formatting

Do you want to have a physical format for your book?

Things have changed a lot in the last 10 years. With Print on Demand services, you no longer have to print a run of thousands of books. In fact, you don’t have to print any books at all—a sweet deal.

KDP Print will list your book on Amazon for free and only print a copy when someone buys it. This means that you don’t have to worry about shipping, postage, or storage. Amazon will take care of everything and simply write you a check at the end of the month for the copies you sell.

I can help you through the process of formatting your book, ordering a proof copy, and getting listed on Amazon.

Cost

$150 – Format a book for sale on Amazon.*

$35/hour – Hourly consulting fee if you need help walking through the publication process.

*Extra cost may apply if your book has complicated formatting or is in a strange file format.

Website Implementation

Are you interested in having an author web page?

I can give you a basic web page for cheap and give you the tools to maintain it and add new content.

Cost

My price to give you a basic WordPress site is:

$50 per year – Hosting

$80 – My fee

$60 – Paid WordPress theme (not mandatory, but I really, really suggest this, for reasons outlined here)

$35 per hour – Further Customization
